Oooku's trailer! Low quality, filmed at some screening apparently, but you can get the picture.
Edit for second trailer:

( Commenting with spoilers for Oooku's 1st volume ) I'm scared of some of that acting, but apparently is very close to the manga. I wonder how Yoshinaga must feel right now. Seriously, it looks awesome.
Now, on shonen manga:
Fairy Tail: ( General thoughts on the manga )
Kinda messy comments on the plot: ( Spoilers and comments up to chapter 150 )
ETA for spoilers to 155: ( Spoilers relevant to this post )
Reborn: Pst. You know, it's pretty funny how Reborn's fandom can make an uberly dreadful chapter way more fun. If I ever doubted this manga was all about its fandom.
And they say the female characters just get better. I'm so sorry OM is about to close now.
(Also, when I was about to continue with Oooku at Manga Fox, I found this. FML)
OMG. OMG. OMG. Just when I have an exam tomorrow 10 in the morning and still haven't studied half of what I have to...
ALL OF OOKU (translated to english until now) IS UP ON MANGAFOX PEOPLE! (Also. TRIGGER WARNING: vol 2 has a lot of rape scenes. A lot. (Spoilers in the comments.)
Also, thanks to

OOOKU CHAPTERS 3 AND 4 UP ON MANGAFOX. Thanks to
rainbowrin for telling me! <3
I'm just... you know... passing.
And thus, volume 1 ends. Chapter 4 is my favorite from this volume.

THE SECOND CHAPTER OF OOOKU IS UP ON MANGAFOX.
I'm not, like, making it obligatory for you to read it or something. Like. At all.
ETA: Awww, it was kinda short. I thought that chapter covered more. Well, anyway, it gets better.

I read the first chapter on Mangafox and wasn't that seduced. It was good, but I did not understand the hype. Now? I don't think the hype makes it justice. It's really one of the best manga written until now. Just for the way it address the themes of its plot and the complexity of the relationships.
( Volumes 1 and 2. Mostly reactions and lots of spoilers here. Long. )
But here you can read the first chapter online. I was forgetting about linking it, thanks Kiri for showing it to me.
Ooku wins James Tiptree Award. It's the first time a manga has won. Ooku has also was "recipient of special prize at The Japanese Association of Feminist Science Fiction and Fantasy's fifth annual Sense of Gender awards (2005), Excellence Award for manga at Japan Media Arts Festival (2006), and Grand Prize in Osamu Tezuka Cultural Prize (2009)".
I post this because I can. And because, against alleconomy odds, I ordered the first two volumes. Oops.
Oh God. How much I don't want to study Biochemistry. Let me count the ways.
