I'm here thinking that nothing can make me overcome the stupidity at fandomsecrets. It's traumatic.

And I'm not talking about the secrets. The comments. They make me cringe and... a lot of awful things I'm not going to describe here.

"FAT PEOPLE HAVE TO BE CONSIDERATE WITH OTHER PEOPLE. THEY HURT EYES." You know, the worst thing is that most of these people weren't talking like wankers: they were saying with a 'calm and reasonable' tone that overweight people should dress themselves in a 'adecuate' way for common courtesy, and that they shouldn't cosplay in 'sexy outfits' because they don't look sexy enough. (Some people talked about health, but we aren't that ingenuous, please. We all know that fat people aren't denigrated for their 'health.' Unhealthy or not, that's an entire different matter here.)

I'm not going to mention the women being objectified-thing because that was just too much stupidity to deal with. Too much.*

God, fandom, you SO need a brain. A big one.

What is this thing about LJ elections or something? I barely have time to eat this week, how the hell I'm supposed to read all the platforms... or something? I want to vote, damn it. (In case you are wondering how do I have time to read fandomsecrets but not to eat; I will tell you that... I... I'm going to end my report. Now.)

*Okay, maybe I'm talking a little: a secret about Orihime Inoue of Bleach showing her boobs being objectified. A person responded that 'people sneezing can be objectified.' That's all (I admit the secret wasn't made in the smartest way, but...).

No tengo palabras para expresar mi rabia. Hoy, hoy me encontré de pura casualida con que La Ley de Salud Sexual fue rechazada en mi país hace más de un mes.

Yo sólo... no tengo palabras. ¿Es posible que exista éste nivel de retraso social, indiferencia e interés propio por parte de las autoridades?

Con 26 votos en contra, 13 ausencias y solo seis a favor, el Congreso Nacional rechazó ayer el polémico proyecto de ley de salud sexual, reproductiva y perinatal.

.... Y dos años para desaprobar una ley que debía ser aprobada inmediatamente. Lo peor es que se propusieron modificaciones. Por polémica.

El documento contiene 21 artículos y establece, entre otras cosas, la provisión gratuita de anticonceptivos en los servicios de salud pública y de información adecuada tanto para mujeres y hombres sobre sus usos y limitaciones. También obliga a los centros de salud a proveer atención a las mujeres embarazadas y a los recién nacidos.

Es... asombroso. No sé que decir. ¿He dicho que no tengo palabras?

Lo repito: me enteré más de un mes después. Por supuesto que los medios no le dieron importancia a la noticia y la decisión del congreso no tiene ningún tipo de trascendencia social. La muerte de mujeres, el derecho a la reproducción, la salud sexual no es nada.

La culpa la tiene la conveniencia y corrupción de los gobernantes que no tienen el menor interés de perder dinero (que pueden invertir en retocar sus tristes mansiones, por ejemplo) en un tema de tan poca importancia. La sociedad en que la mujer es subyugada (y por ende no hay presión alguna) ayuda.

No me sorprende, pero me deprime increiblemente que soy la única que se horroriza.
