The government of Alan Garcia in Peru has once again assured the international media that there were only 24 policemen and 9 Indigenous protesters killed last weekend

The videos are pretty telling.

The pictures of the protests in Lima are amazing though.

Manipulación de la prensa en Perú

Los medios de Lima están manipulando las noticias "4 valientes hombres de policía fueron asesinados por protestas de nativos" publican en la prensa. El Comercio que el mayor diario en Perú acusa a los pueblos indígenas de la violencia: "más de 7 policías muertos en respuesta a los ataques indígenas" y los periodistas atacan a los lideres indígenas con preguntas acusatorias.

Los blogs en Lima recién están despertando a la realidad de Perú, y algunos incluso culpan a los pueblos indígenas. Muy pocos temas publicados sobre esta situación en este momento, por desgracia.
