Ahaha, nah, I like the ship. I always did. It was the sacrifice that expected nothing in return that bought me. And that I love her. XD

So you don't see it at all as "straightening out" a gay character? What's your stance on that sort of thing?

Ah, yes. There is that. But I don't like the "straightening out" as it is. I thought you were asking me if I liked it because it was one-sided. XD I misunderstood, yeah, I like it as one-sided, as it is. But I enjoy their relationship, interaction, equals thing. But boy, I won't expect in 2000 years that Juri forget about Shiori for Ruka. XD She is lesbian. Very much so.

Ahaaaa, okay, I get it now. XD Thanks for clarifying. That makes perfect sense (especially since I really get the one-sided thing, I typically love it XD). Sorry if I wasn't being clear. I'm kind of like that about her interactions with Miki, though I wouldn't describe it as shipping on my end in the least.

Ruka always kind of bothered me. His intentions were noble, but he went just a little TOO far that one time and that tweeked me out. Then again, I kind of feel that way about a lot of the males in Utena. XD

Ah yes. Ruka was a bastard, I don't deny it. I like his relationship and interaction with Juri, but yeah, his morals are screw-up. (But then again, we are talking about Utena, and you are right about Utena's males. Except Miki. XD)

I think what I love too was that he was her bride in the duel. XD

I feel like there's several different patterns. There's the contrast between an outgoing and a grouchy/stoic one with Kurogane/Fye, Juri/Ruka, Helen/Deneve, Hijikata/Okita and Sandor/Sansa a little bit. And there's a bit of a protection/caretaker/hurt-comfort perhaps? with Gingetsu/Ran and Riff/Cain, and Sandor/Sansa a little bit too. And then there's Atsuko/Michiko which could fit with Juri/Ruka in the desperate one-sided love way but otherwise I don't see; and I don'tknow the other ones.

Aaaah, yes. I was thinking that Michiko/Atsuko is the only one that doesn't have this. XD Even Juri/Ruka has the "I want to bring your comfort" aspect.

Atsuko/Michiko kinda doesn't fit, but, oh well. XP

ETA: actually by their children's interaction, they do fit the straight laced one/mischevious&outgoing one pattern. So, there!

And SPOILERS (maybe?) there is the desperate one-sided love, but that tends to irritate me when it's a woman doing the one-sided thing (and boy, it did irritated me).

Una cosa que veo en común entre Sandor/Sansa, Riff/Cain, Hijikata/Okita y Gingetsu/Ran es la diferencia de edad y que además todos se conocieron cuando uno era adulto y el otro aún un niño. Es interesante.

Como dice todo el mundo, opuestos. Y ese "me sacas de quicio pero me preocupo por ti". Esas relaciones que duelen pero que no puedes evitar.
