Fandom! The place saturated with almost as much unaddressed white privilege as GameFaqs.

I'm reading through Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou right now, and thus far it's been very enjoyable. It's the kind of manga that you can read over and over again yet still find new things to see, and the characters are all both likeable and believable.

Nothing much happens, though, so I'm not sure if it's up your alley. :/

Geometry Based on NCIS. I don't know if you like bondage and BDSM, but I liked this one, and those are not my fav genres.


ETA: though the show itself has got issues though. I think you can enjoy this without knowing much about it, however. A lot of the characters are OC.

Los únicos que no han mencionado y se me ocurren son di[e]ce si te gusta el ajedres y twins. Pandora Hearts si te gustan las referencias a Alicia en el País de las Maravillas. Y Monster si no lo has leído, que es como uno de los mejores mangas ever. O quizá Akira, pero ese nunca le gusta a nadie. :x Todos tienen diferentes niveles de mindfuck y los dos primeros tienen harta codependencia.

Si todos se van a poner a reccear sus shounen manga, meto a Fullmetal Alchemist acá aunque no recuerdo si lo has leído. Pero sin ver el fandom, que también es estúuuuupido. Tiene plot bien planeado y mujeres awesome. Hay algunos problemas de raza pero de hecho son parte de los issues de la historia (i.e, hubo una guerra civil) y no son vistos como algo positivo.

Aria (con su precuela Aqua) y Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou son slice of life disfrazados de ciencia ficción ligera, y el cast en ambos es mucho más femenino con diferencia. El primero trata de gondoleras venecianas en un Marte lleno de agua (srsly), tiene los paisajes más detallados que he visto en un manga, es supercute y tiene gatitos raros. El segundo es de una robot en un mundo post apocalíptico que montó un café en medio de la nada y espera a su dueño, es un poco deprimente porque te plasma la soledad y silencio como no veas, pero el fluff y su bromance con otras robots son preciosos.

lo que te puedo recomendar no es fandom... pero es un muy buen documental! de lso grosos!! medio depresivo... ya sabes, muestra lo caotico de nuestro asqueroso mundo,pero si te sientes con suficiente poder como para no deprimirte con esto, lo puedes ver.

Hi! Uhm, my goto manga right now is Emma, which delights me. (That and Paradise Kiss, because the art is just stunning, imo). The only other series I'm still following is Blade of the Immortal (which also has stunning art and ZOMBIES but a lot of explicit violence) and Hiroki Endo's Eden, which on the surface looks like your average sci-fi cyberpunk story, but is a really layered critique of current power relations ('ware of the sexism and violence).
