Today was a... very interesting day.

I was out all day and managed to get lost twice: going to a friend's house and coming from the same friend's house. I drove there, and, funnily enough, going was easier than coming. I just confused some blocks going there. Coming back home? Oh boy. Because she lives in a neighbor city, changing my route totally got me lost. I ended... traveling for all my fucking city.

We saw two movies, 2012 and The Proposal. Both were amazingly bad. 2012 was at least (unintentionally) hilarious and managed to have characters of color. The romantic comedy was just depressing and extremely racist, even if it had a better writer than 2012 (it was still bad though).

I had to watch The Proposal on the bus going home, since our student chaperone somehow got it into her head that we need to watch movies for the whole duration of our trips. (What makes it worse is that there are no headphones on the bus, so everyone has to listen to whatever's playing--no matter how offensive it is.) The white grandmother and her pseudo-Native ceremony were bad enough, but the Latino priest/servant/male prostitute was nothing short of awful.

Aaaaah, exactly. All that, it was disgusting. And was very problematic in gender issues, besides romanticizing abuse of power, and.... a lot. It was clichey and cheesy also, but 2012 made it look good.
