Wow. Primero, lo mejor: la grandiosa [livejournal.com profile] fujurpreux tradujo al español el discurso del video de Chimamanda Adichie. *___*

Well, my exam went.. hm.

Anyway, Tsubasa fandom, you aren't doing things better for me. I know people are young. I know, hell, I am. But my desire to just stop reading my fl was never so great. Seriously, from entitled KF fans, to "oppressed" Syao-Saku fans, with the gem "the Japanese are privileged because only them can see the shippy pics! Poor western us!"

What is with the stupid this week? I'm not going to tell people how to act about their fandom relationships and squees because that's just senseless, but could you, I don't know... get over yourself?

I want chocolate. I miss chocolate, damn it.

How are Sakura/Syaoran fans oppressed? O_o

So basically... because they're not the center of the fandom's universe? Oh people.

It really makes no sense. I'd understand if it were Sakura/Syaoran versus Sakura/Kurogane or something because that would be a ship war. But they're totally unrelated!

That's what I thought! I was like, "Um... I thought that was the main het pairing while Kurogane/Fay is the main slash one!"

No, no, Sha!

;;

Oooh, ya xD; Yo es que tengo la barrita que todos odian, la navbar, y cuando veo la flist puedo seleccionar qué grupo quiero ver con la barrita |D;

Uuuufa D: ESTUDIA, MUJER DX Así tienes buenas vacas ;;

Lol like the pics won't leak the second they're out, anyway.

[identity profile] la-vie-noire.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Pst. Just.. pst. And even if they don't.. that is such a smart thing to say.

[identity profile] jlarinda.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, at least people always bitch too when something is exclusive to USA, for example!

... Oh wait...

[identity profile] la-vie-noire.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, and EVEN if people did that (which they don't), it's so not the same thing. Because seriously, from this side? A lot of western attitude towards anything that Japan produces feels like "you better because I bought you". And I sincerely disagree if someone tells me it's totally the same thing "if a Japanese person does the same to USA!!!".

This is why I filter off the Tsubasa comms and just have them joined and friended for when I need something ^^;;; The stupid, it hurts usually. Thus, I just plain avoid it.

B-But, if you want non-stupid Tsubasa stuff uhhh when you aren't devoured by exams, I am doing a Tsubasa fic for NaNoWriMo this year.... I kind of stopped posting it as I went since the only person who seemed to be reading it was Mari, but if anyone, you know, wanted to read it, I would totally start posting it in progress again.

(Though I'm going to get it fixed up and beta'd by Mari too and post it like finished someday too, so if you wanted to read it you could wait til then too. I just really want to know what other sane fans may think >.>)

UM ANYWAY, SORRY THAT PEOPLE SUCK? ^^;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; *sends you hugs* ♥

[identity profile] la-vie-noire.livejournal.com 2009-11-17 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
OOOOOOOOOOH YURI. I WANT FIC. <3333333333 I WILL READ IT, WOMAN! ;; Same comm as always?

[identity profile] chiba-yuriko.livejournal.com 2009-11-17 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
♥ ♥

Yeah, it's at [livejournal.com profile] haruhi_ism, but just keep in mind it's like uh, you get to read the rough draft, okay? XD; And it's still being worked on/editted... ^.^

Oh oh and Mari's doing more of Bandit Kite there too this year, you should check that out too!

[identity profile] la-vie-noire.livejournal.com 2009-11-17 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Eeeeeeh! I will be reading when I have more time for procrastination. &hearts Eeeeeeeeeeeh.

That "gem" reminds me of the outbursts in (predominantly American) gaming communities when certain video games are restricted to the Japanese market. Sure, you won't be getting this game any time in the foreseeable future, but what about all of the people in PAL regions (that is, most of Africa, Asia, and Europe) who are almost always forced to wait months or years for games released in the United States? Games that often end up being lower-quality than their Japanese and American counterparts?

ETA: Comment deleted and reposted because I forgot to mention that PAL also includes Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay in South America, as well as Australia. Likewise, I didn't take into account the long delays in translating Japanese-produced video games into languages other than English.

[identity profile] la-vie-noire.livejournal.com 2009-11-17 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, well, I'm not exactly going to feel sorry for Europe soon any day about marketing "problems", but yeah to the rest.

[identity profile] outou.livejournal.com 2009-11-18 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
PAL releases are usually described in a European context, too (i.e., "Mario Kart Wii is going to get an early release in Europe," not "Mario Kart Wii is going to get an early release in PAL regions"), so I wouldn't be surprised at all if fans outside of Europe have to wait even longer for certain games. -_-
