They're undergoing a large scale DDOS attack. Just that this time it's attacking the service providers, not their actual servers, if I understand correctly.

No problem. That's why it's so inconsistent and why some people can log in and some people can't and why sometimes the problem fixes itself if you delete your cookie and re-log in and why sometimes that doesn't work too. Yesterday, I can access LJ at home but not at work. Today it's sometimes up, sometimes down, no matter where I am, and I keep getting logged out and logging in is a trial. Once they said it was the service providers (Verizon and Qwest, I think) being targeted, that explained why it seemed so random.
