I said to myself I wouldn't comment on this series until it was over, and I bet everyone already discussed everything useful about this. So I'm just going to say something pretty superficial that has been bothering me.

Why did they cut everything that has to do with The Hound till now? Seriously, I don't get why Theon and Littlefinger get extra parts (lots of them) while they cut every important Sandor's scene.

Yes. It bothers me. And I bet everyone already talked about Khal Drogo and Daenerys and whatever they did to that (not that the book was perfect, far from it, but still).

And, maybe it's just me, but his actor looks... not so Hound-like. (And yes, I'm just talking by the little we have seen of him. Can be TOTALLY wrong, you know.)

I don't mind the actor as such; though so far he's been interpretating him as much... gentler than I'd expect. You can't really see all the anger and harshness and even most of the snark.

I do mind the make up being so light though.

Exactly my problem. Also, he looks very... noble (in the "from a Noble Family" sense) in the performance. While I always imagined Sandor much more out of tune with the Noble/Knightly environment around him.

Or maybe I'm just being picky.

You know, I hadn't noticed the Hound sort of lacking-- largely, I imagine, because I am not much of a Sandor fan, myself-- but now that you mention it, yeah, it's kind of glaring. They should really be building him up instead of Theon.

SOMETHING I'LL THINK ABOUT certainly.

And yeah, I'm disappointed in his overall look. Needs more scar.

Ahahaha, I am a Sandor fan, so since they cut his lines and gave them to Littlefinger and stuff... I noticed. Yes, a lot could be done with those extra Theon or Littlefinger's scenes that aren't that... useful. Or the random porn.

Yeah, as much as I am a fan of this Littlefinger (book!LF is eh, but for some reason TV!LF has really grown on me, idk) he has been getting an unnecessary pile of scenes even though he doesn't do much until spoilers spoilers Sansa spoilers third book. So that's odd.

The Theon scenes were just unnecessary. I would have happily given them to Sandor. But I have serious anti-Theon biases, too. I am basically moot on everybody until Brienne shows up and certain limbs get chopped off.

Well, I'm not fan of LF (on the contrary), but I can admit he is quite important, even since the first book. But even with all that he got those extra scenes like the one with prostitutes having sex while he talked about his past that was LONG.

And yes, I also have Anti-Theon biases, and I think Sandor is quite important. But he has been kinda... meh. (But has had, what, two lines?)

Yeah, I totally get what you mean. But all the sexposition in the show so far has been incredibly tasteless. But it's HBO, so whoooo is surprised, really.

I've liked his acting thus far, I think he's portrayed his bitterness fairly well, if not his anger, but then again, as not much of a Sandor fan (I don't really feel either way on him tbh) I am probably not the necessary amount of critical. I have So Many Feelings on the Loras and Jaime actors, though, so I assume it's a matter of being a fan of the characters.

Yes, of course, but I'm also kinda... uh with Loras and I was never that interested in him. So not "Loras" for me.

Ahaha, I get you on the exposition, I can't remember one that wasn't a sex scene. I was grateful though for the Loras/Renly one that wouldn't have happened in a million of years in the books.

Loras is one of my favorite characters, so XD But I like characters who get shafted by the narrative. They have a wildly different interpretation of him than the one I got from the books, but making him a schemer isn't something I'm going to complain about, though I'm interested to see how they can manage to reconcile that with his later actions.

It's like they don't trust us to pay attention to backstory unless there are boobs? Which is insulting and weird. Good shows trust their audience, and so far, this show doesn't trust me one bit.

Ah, yes, I think the schemers were Margaery and her grandmother. Not so much Loras. But yeah, apparently, here he even kinda influenced Renly (whom, funnily, I like better than the one in the books).

Heh. They could also use the exposition more for other things. Watching this episode, I wonder if people not familiar with the books understood something about the Kingsguard or why Semly was so offended at the other Knights who laughed at him.

And I don't have so many complains about technical aspects though. XD I think the acting is good, but sometimes not so much what I pictured in my mind (except episode 2, that was one just kinda bad).
