Yes, Gaddafi is a killer. But this has no excuse. Weren't Iraq and Afghanistan enough?

On Qaddafi's part, it definitely was. The deal with the ceasefire was while Qaddafi was declaring it, he was also in the middle of a large attack on civilians. The reason the NFZ got pushed through when it did was because it was sort of a, "Do this *right now* or thousands of people die, not maybe, and within the next day or two," thing.

In this case I do think countries stepping in was definitely the lesser evil. Qaddafi is the type who'll engage in mass slaughter of civilians, and without the help of air power that is what was going to happen to the rebels. The rebels were specifically asking for it, the entire Arab League supported it, etc..
