Japan

[personal profile] azuire has a helpful post about Japan.

I just saw a man commenting on CNN en EspaƱol about how is a shame there are so little videos or reports of the victims (people). He textually said "but there is a great video of people in the metro." Then he started talking about Japanese culture, how reserved they are; it's all due "a philosophy he doesn't know the name of" and other exoticizing shit.

Seriously? How shameless can the "tragedy porn" wanting get?

I think I saw it two. Did the person in Japan shortly later say that he found strange how people in Tokyo didn't seem to be worried about the nuclear meltdown, and how the tv networks weren't giving a continual coverage of the nuclear news whereas outside networks were completely focused on it? And the news host back in the USA basically ignored said comment?
