My mood is... bleh. I'm so bleh at everything. Probably because I start classes again on Monday and I know that will leave me with no live again.

SO THIS IS REC POST AGAIN. Rec me something, anything. &hearts

Uhmm, like anime? Cause I'm not reading much - except, OH! I read ' 4 Kids in 5E & 1 Crazy Year' and it was pretty good. I'm thinking of ordering multiple copies so all my siblings and I can share.

Mm, two of the awesome books I finished recently: The Interpreter by Suki Kim, and The Calligrapher's Daughter by Eugenia Kim. The first one's got awesome layers of family history and an unraveling murder mystery and is about Korean diasporians in the US, and the second traces the story of a girl & her family during the Japanese occupation of Korea from the 19-teens through Pearl Harbor, if you're interested in either of those. ;)

Oh, and I keep meaning to finish watching Shiki, which [personal profile] coffeeandink pimped here. I've seen and enjoyed the first six eps, even though horror isn't usually my thing; YMMV?

I keep meaning to do an update about the second half of the series. Short version: Interesting in a lot of ways, but also has three extremely drawn out and gruesome murders of women. (Lots more than three women get killed, and lots more than three men, too, but I figured that was par for the course for a horror anime. The drawn out and gruesome thing is what's so gendered.)

I am currently all over Kimi ni Todoke, but I don't know if it's your kind of thing (l_v_n). It is on the shelf next to High School Debut in my heart, if that helps. I am also head-over-heels for Saiunkoku. Oh! Have you seen The Twelve Kingdoms? (Probably yes, years ago, I am late to all the fandoms.) It seems like your kind of thing.

Also someone just recced me Puella Magi Madoka Magica as being the next big thing like Utena and Princess Tutu, so I am planning to try that out this weekend.
