Procrastination brings you manga spoilers

Since I still can't understand anything, I will just say that the art is GORGEOUS. And it's so X-like is not even funny. I really, really thought about what (I think) [livejournal.com profile] rainmage said about this being the X's universe; and these characters, the new Ten no Ryu or something. Maybe a link for CLAMP to continue X... hey! You can expect anything for them. I think.

Hana is so cute, and there is the whole thing about ze being genderless, but you know people would call hir "she" because Hana kissed the main guy. I also hope for a prominent female character.

I wasn't talking about Claymore because not much has been happening in these latest chapters. More characters introduced, I didn't like this Anastasia so much, with her beautiful "hair attack" or something, and she mocking her comrade appearance. But she seemed cool this chapter, not getting in the way of our main girls.

But OMG, I so forgot Yuma/Cynthia was OTP until those two panels after Yuma kicked ass. I don't trust the translation, but it was something like, "you got kinda clumsy at the end," "I wasn't really confident, I guess." *smile cutely at each other* Yes, that was the highlight of the chapter for me.

Well, The Org still uses male warrior just to awaken them, and Yagi is tying knots (yes, I was wondering about that line that that first awakened man they faced told Miria), but nothing really that surprising. (Also, I never really liked that trope of "males can't control themselves and awake instantly.")

I think most of the fans (at least, the ones I'm being exposed to) are continuing to use "she" for Hana either because they can't get used to thinking of hir as genderless (ze was initially introduced as a girl back in 2008), or because ze has been presented as "female" thus far based on hir dress in the color illustrations and the manga itself. Those aren't particularly great reasons, barring the event that Hana hirself says that ze thinks of hirself as a girl in some later chapter, but at least we haven't yet seen the onslaught of the "EEW, SOMETHING OTHER THAN HETEROSEXUALITY!" fans.

As for me...well, before CLAMP confirmed that Hana was genderless, I was hoping ze would be a girl -- if only for the fact that we could finally have a CLAMP heroine who was androgynous without being sexless. Seeing how ze acts in the first chapter, though, hir being a girl would have made me uncomfortable: the men all interact with hir as if ze's more of a cute animal than a human, and if ze were actually female...yeah, that's a problem.

Also! You remember that long comment I made here back on the 21st? I'm sorry for being a jerk. I would have responded to you and apologized earlier, but my school schedule has been eating up my free time. (Which reminds me -- good luck with your finals if you're still taking them!)
