Gundam 00 Season 2
Episodes 1-5
This I like way more than the first season. Now we have an "Earth Federation" (Western-based) that has exploitative, abusive, inhuman methods and politics (which are hidden of course from the civilians of the bigger nations), and also private the Middle East of energy to isolate and destroy its economy because they fear their opposition (the whole series bases on the use of Solar Energy, and how the bigger governments sanctioned countries for the use of petroleum, destroying economies that depended of it). This, of course, causes rebellion, which our protagonists also fight. They officially designed as "terrorists."
The male lead and his love interest (a princess) are both Middle Eastern. But I was very squicked by the references to religion, and the "reasoning" of war and conflict in Muslim countries, and some other political shit in the first season, that didn't talk about this. It got way better by the second one, though.
The women are also extremely amazing. And make almost 50% of the characters.
