I seriously, seriously going to nominate the trope of, "getting humanity to their next stage by transforming humans into an entity/evolved being/whatever in a way that they all share their consciences so all THE WORLD TROUBLES ARE GOING TO GET RESOLVED" for the Most Annoying One prize. I think we have Evangelion to thank for that one (please, someone tell if there was something before Evangelion with this trope).

So, uhm, manga? Please don't depict that virus as the solution of all humanity problems. I'm going to roll my eyes so much.
