So here it comes a confession: I know all of the shonen's tropes and characters archetypes. I grew up watching/reading shonen, and got tired of it eventually. But in the end, my heart just wanted Claymore. Seeing all of it played with women and only women, with a thousand of different women characters was... an orgasmic experience for me.

So yeah, can we please kill Isley already? He is ruining my fun. I hope Priscilla ends up eating him or something. And I'm supposed to hate her. The more time he is on screen, the bored I got. Told you, not a big shonen fan when it gets like this.

Priscilla is the one who killed Teresa, not you, boy. You aren't supposed to be The Big Bad. What is that stuff about 'make her his woman'? Ew.

Oh, and Rigald too. He apparently just killed Jean. Priscilla can eat him too.

Why aren't people shipping Helen/Deneve? Why? I'm going to write fanfic if nobody else does it.

ETA: Clare being 47? Stopped making sense 5 volumes ago.

Oh, I totally ship Helen/Deneve. They're my first slash ship. Though I also added Kendappa/Souma to my slash ships this year. I approve of the plan to write

*very vague Vol 12 spoilers in next paragraph regarding Isley-relationship developments and clarification in vol 12 there*

Isley...is more like Priscilla's pet who thinks he's her owner. Or an owner ruled by his pet. A friend once described as the relationship seems to work along the lines of "Priscilla says the wants a banana split. Isley starts trying to turn the continent into a banana plantation." There's creepy stuff going on there, but in many ways, it's Isley making sure she stays happy so that she won't eat him, while hoping to use her to his advantage. Rigald is gone for good now.

And that fangasm you mentioned? It's what gets us all.

Re: Clare being #47: Ranking is determined by youkai energy. Because her youkai energy is diluted (coming from Teresa's head instead of a youkai) she's less powerful than the rest. However, she's spent her entire life compensating for that and training herself to close the gap. As a result, her skill level is far above 47, but that isn't how her rank is determined. The bit with skill becomes pertinent again later.
